Pathology Billing Policy
QUT Medical Centre outsources all pathology (blood tests, swabs, etc.,) to third party pathology labs such as QML Pathology, Sullivan Nicolaides, 4Cyte Pathology, etc.,
QUT Medical Centre does not bill, invoice, or pay for pathology testing on behalf of students or staff.
Any fees paid on the day after seeing the doctor is to cover the consultation fee for the doctor only and does not include the price of any testing ordered by your doctor.
If you are unsure if your insurance policy will cover your testing, contact your insurance company directly and ask before commencing any testing.
International students with Overseas Health Care (OHSC) policies (Allianz, Medibank, AHM, NIB, ect,.) may receive a text message, email or letter informing you of an outstanding invoice after your testing. You will need to contact the pathology company directly and submit your insurance details to them, so that the company may adjust your account to bill your insurance directly.
